Lovely gentleman on reception. Room spacious and very cosy and warm . Underground floor heating lovely. Great WiFi connection. And lots of channels on TV. Will be back. Room 1 x
Not so good. I would recommend staying else where. I paid for breakfast thinking I would have a plethora of options, however this was not the case. The selection was not worth the price. Super close to the airport though!
We missed our flight because of this Lodge. One of the worst overnight-stay experiences of my life. The room was fine (apart from being a freezer). The receptionist (a young male) had his head in the clouds (or Fifa. The game he was busy playing and was evidently far more intetested in rather than being of any help to his guests). I need to emphasize that the service was shocking. They do NOT have a shuttle as advertised!!! It cost us 28 for our transfers!!! They promised us they would arrange for our transfer the next morning. The taxi (not shuttle as advertised) was booked for 30min later than we requested. We missed our flight because of his EPIC error. So it cost us 140 for new flights and the transport costs and accomodation for an extra day. Horrific.... BTW, it is the same management as the De Salis...
room #6 is an absolute nightmare. Hair in the bathroom, strong drain smell, dust all over the room. No clean sheets on bed. You hear everything that's happening in the hous. No sound proof window. A pain to sleep. Called the reception and asked if they had transportation from/to stansted airport, they said yes over the phone. Complete lie!Add 20 quid and get yourself a better room. It ridiculously high! A hostel is better and more confortable than this. Appalling
The room I was shown to was a family room. As I entered the building I could smell damp. It was stronger as I entered the room. After being there looking around I found dirty cup and cutlery in the wardrobe the I saw the damp in the corner. The bed and chair were badly stained. I reported this to reception and was offered another room. I was told that they knew about this and the room shouldn't have been used. I later saw another person coming out of the room.The bathroom window was beautiful
